The official blog for Untitled Themes and Level82. Theme updates, news, tutorials and support.
A number of themes have been affected recently by an update to jQuery. The issue was completely my fault, when I design websites and themes, I use the latest jQuery script which is automatically updated when a new version is available. However in the most recent release, a handful of functions were depreciated including one that is used in the infinite scroll script. Without it, the infinite scroll is unable to work and in some cases even cause the theme to not show at all.
I have been working hard to address this issue despite being overseas without a computer back. I’ve essentially started replacing the jquery-latest.js with jquery-1.7.2.min.js in the head of each theme, however the update takes some time to be approved and themes with edited HTML will not be updated. If you’re having an issue, I ask that you simply replace:
http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js
With:
http://www.untitledthemes.com/jquery.js
For Level82 themes, simply replace:
http://static.tumblr.com/rejwoxv/VL5mbnyfu/theme.js
With:
http://static.tumblr.com/jw8fmba/JuPmhkses/theme.js
This will be found under the head tag, press control/command F to quickly search for it.
This applies to most Untitled Themes’ themes and Level82 themes. All themes in the Tumblr Theme Garden will be issued an update which will fix this, however if you have customized the theme by editing the HTML then you will need to replace the code above of reinstall the theme. Kinley has been updated and users will need to replace the code above or download the update from the install file found in the .zip. Stacky 5 and Cinch will be updated as soon as I have access to a computer possible.
The Cinch theme is now available on ThemeCloud.
Cinch is another interactive theme by Untitled Themes, however Cinch is less reliant on modern browsers. Cinch is a highly customizable theme with over 50 individual appearance options. The posts span a percentage of the entire browser making this theme all about your content.
Cinch beta was released today, if you have installed it, what are your thoughts? Have you encountered any problems? What would you change? What would you like to see?
Introducing Cinch, a new Tumblr theme by Untitled Themes. Cinch is another interactive theme similar to Impress, just less reliant on modern technology. Cinch is in fact based on Kinley and features a lot of professional features and a great deal of options to customize.
You can preview the theme on the preview blog, however the panning navigation which makes this theme unique and quite interactive is disabled on it.
This theme will be a premium theme in the future but is free to all at the moment in its beta state. Feel free to install it, exercise it, critique it, customize it, make it yours.
