The official blog for Untitled Themes and Level82. Theme updates, news, tutorials and support.
I like the people who use my themes, I really like the people who use my themes and message me with thanks but I love those who use my themes and donate. That’s why I’ve made a donation gift… the best theme I have made to date, why is it the best? Here’s why…
Meet Kinley, Kinley is the most customizable theme I have designed, it is riddled with hidden quirks, easy on the eyes and takes every detail into consideration and produces something quite unique. On the surface the theme is familiar, that’s because it draws inspiration from some of Tumblr’s most popular themes and is based on my successful theme line - Stacky, more specifically Stacky 5. Familiar at first, but once you add your touch through posts and appearance settings, it’ll be unique to you and your visitors.
What does it include? What doesn’t it? Here’s a list of the highlights:
Every variable is editable to truly make it a custom theme. I love this theme and I hope you love it too, it’s easy to obtain, simply donate.
Falling Whistles gives a small window into our world’s largest war. Originally just a journal written about boys sent to the frontlines of war armed with only a whistle, readers forwarded it with the same kind of urgency in which it was written and demanded to know –
What can we do?
The Falling Whistles campaign launched with a simple response – make their weapon your voice and be a whistleblower for peace in Congo. Read the story and donate or place a whistle on your Tumblelog. Together they partner with local leaders to advocate and rehabilitate for those affected by war.
Place a whistle on your blog to draw attention to this cause.
If the world knows who Joseph Kony is, it will unite to stop him - help make him Tumblr famous.
You can start by adding the Kony Badge to your Tumblr. The badge sits neatly under your follow button in the top right, out of the way but very visible. Click here or on the image above to install it, there are three color options for your to choose from - red, black and white.
Stop at nothing! Reblog this to reach more people.
Introducing Kinley LITE, a watered down version of Kinley. Kinley LITE is for those that want to test the theme before they donate, it doesn’t include some of the more popular features that the main version does but it’s free an available in the Tumblr theme garden now.
Very soon I’ll be revamping the support system for UT themes as well as introducing new themes and updates. If you know a little about HTML, CSS, Tumblr and my themes/addons (Know-Anon, seasonal JavaScript) then consider working with me as my one person support team. I don’t make much money, but I get more followers than any of you could begin to imagine so I’d ‘pay’ you in followers (so many followers) and themes that would normally cost money.
Click the above link, which goes to an ask box, state you want to help and leave your Skype if you have one. If you don’t I’ll message you through Tumblr, but Skype would be easier.
FOLLOWERS AND FREE THEMES AND LOTS OF STUFF BY ME!
I want to thank everyone who has donated, bought Kinley and/or Stacky 5. As a student, my income is currently generated from a loan until such time as I get a job but my course requires a lot of my time. In what free time I have, I plan to introduce more ‘premium’ themes that will hopefully wow you.
If you want to donate to keep future themes free, donate here, if you haven’t seen Kinley, preview it here and install it here.
A minor update has been issued to Kinley to address a problem with duplicate captions on video permalinks. You may now also unlike posts that you have liked from the index page.
This update bumps it up to version 1.4, to download the update, message UT with the email address you used to purchase the theme.
Impress beta 1 is now available to those who want an early taste of the interactive theme.
The theme is still in development so not everything is final and you may encounter some issues but for the most part, you should get an idea of what the theme will look and feel like when it’s released.
If you use it, I request that you provide as much feedback as possible to ensure any issue that turns you away from it is removed before the final version is released. Providing feedback can be done on my Facebook wall or the theme’s Facebook tab.
At this point it’s still too early to list the theme’s features (besides the obvious ones, if you’d like to see them, preview the theme below) but below is a list of known issues, incomplete features or ideas for the final release:
You can preview it here and install it here.
You still have time to install Falling Hearts on your blog. Click here to install them.
A significant update has been released for Bulletins. The update addresses issues that have been left unresolved since it’s initial release. The update also refreshes it’s dated appearance, which is now cleaner and more streamlined and uses CSS3 instead of images wherever possible.
A minor but crucial update is available for Kinley which addresses an ask/submit box problem on the main page and posted reblogged with italic text. Unfortunately, updates aren’t automatic so those that have the link, please redownload it, if you don’t, message me.
Those that donated in order to get a copy of Kinley may not have received the email, this is due to a surprisingly high demand and the auto response distributer could not keep up.
An alternate system is in place to help speed up the process and instead of being sent a copy of the theme in the email, you are provided with a link to download it (please do not re-distribute the link).
Anyone who donated and did not get an email and who hasn’t messaged me, please message now so I can provide the direct link. I recommend you keep the direct link saved somewhere as you can use it to download any updates, however if it is re-distributed then I will have to change it.

The Falling Hearts script has been updated so it’s less buggy. I removed the jquery that was included in it, assuming you have it already installed in your theme (most themes do). If yours doesn’t, turn to Google.
If you are having troubles with scrolling, add the following to your Custom CSS in the Advanced menu in Customize:
body { overflow-y: scroll !important }
Presenting a very early preview of the next Untitled Themes theme - Impress. Impress is based on Impress.js (which hasn’t been easy to implement into a blog). This is one theme you have to preview before casting your opinion, it’s all about CSS3 animations and it becomes incredibly fun to update as you never know where your posts will be positioned. To create an array of randomness, the posts are positioned based on the time they were posted - the rotation is based on the second they were posted and the size is based on the hour.
As mentioned above, this is very early into the theme’s development, at the moment there is no way to access permalinks from the index page, no links to other pages and no continuous scrolling (which will be a huge challenge to trigger as you do not scroll in this theme). There is enough to get an idea of how the theme will function though. If you are interested in testing it, have ideas for it or any feedback, comment on this post or message UT.
Please preview it and tell me what you think.
NOTE: This theme is only supported in modern browsers, more specifically - Webkit browsers - Chrome and Safari. Non-Webkit broswers are presented with a simple version of the theme which is boring and generic. UPDATE: Firefox 10 (released today) supports the theme.
