The Kinley about page has been revamped to reflect the theme’s new(er) look. This doesn’t really affect anyone though.

Kinley version 1.8 is available now, preview it here, install it here or if you’ve already installed a previous version, use the link in the install page that you downloaded.
Version 1.8 includes the following:
- The options to show/hide the links to the archive and subscribe in the header have been separated into two options.
- An option to show the archive in an iframe on the index page has been added.
- More Facebook integration has been added, an option to have Facebook comments on posts has been added.
- The buttons on posts have been redesigned.
- An appearance tag (‘no background’/’nobackground’/’no-background’) to make the background of the post transparant has been added.
- An option to adjust the number of columns has been added. The maximum is 6. If you would like the number to be automatic, leave the option blank.
- An option to change the header title font has been added.
- An appearance tag (‘NSFW’) and options have been added to hide content you deem ‘not safe for work’.
- The default background and colors have been changed to a darker scheme. For the old background, click here.
- The ability to link to the ask box on the index page has been added, to do this add a # before ask in http://yourblog.tumblr.com/ask so it becomes http://yourblog.tumblr.com/#ask.
- Older appearance tags can now have spaces and hyphens between the words, for example ‘nosource’ can be written ‘no source’.

Version 1.8 may still be a while off but now is a good time to make some feature suggestions. Version 1.8 will so far include the following additions:
- The buttons on each post have been restyled.
- The archive and subscribe can be disabled separately.
- You may now use Facebook’s comment system (which is a lot better).
- You can use the arrow keys to go to different pages (when infinite scroll is disabled or on permalink pages).
- An option to show the archive in a slide down like the ask and submit boxes.
- A problem with title has been fixed.
- Hash tags in the URL will show certain parts of the blog without having to click on anything. For example the link above has the URL http://kinleytheme.tumblr.com/#ask which shows the ask slide down, whereas http://kinleytheme.tumblr.com/ask goes straight to the ask page.
- Pages that aren’t associated to posts now optionally take up the entire available space.
- An issue with the option ‘Show a link to the ask box on messages’ has been addressed and now works.
And more if you click the link above and message your suggestion.

Kinley is my best theme yet. You should preview it and/or install it.
Kinley version 1.7
Following the release of version 1.6 less than two weeks ago, which was missing a lot of the intended updates, 1.7 is now available and is by far the largest update Kinley has seen since its initial release. The update includes and fixes the following:
- The header has been revamped and includes the following changes:
- If ‘Static menu’ is not selected then the menu part of the header will float as you scroll past a certain point.
- You can now add a number of social links to the right of the menu. Options include Facebook, Twitter (which is added if you set it up under your blog settings), Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, Skype, DeviantArt and Behance. Pinterest and more will come in the future. This feature is not supported in Firefox.
- The ‘More’ menu has been tidied up.
- A large number of appearance tags have been added to the list, including color options. To use the new color options - tag the post with ‘color yellow’ (or whatever basic color you desire). There are also several ‘secret’ appearance tags for you to discover.
- An option has been added to make photos bleed to the edges of the post (photos no longer have borders).
- An option to hide post captions on the index page has been added.
- Post sources have been moved to the meta line of the post (provided comments aren’t enabled) and an option to shorten them to just ‘Source’ has been added.
- Typekit integration has been added.
- The meta information at the bottom of each post has been restyled to match the menu.
The install page has also been updated with the following:
- A link to update your copy of the theme has been added to the bottom of the install page.
Not mentioned in 1.6’s release notes are:
- The new Untitled Themes theme assistant has been added on the customize page.
- When purchasing the theme, you can save 10% by sharing the theme on Facebook or Twitter.
If you would like to preview the new version, visit the preview page here, if you would like to purchase the theme click here and if you have already purchased the theme and would like the update, message me with the name or email address you used to purchase it.

Introducing the Theme Assistant. All unedited Untitled Themes themes will receive the handy new Theme Assistant which is full of useful information. Theme Assistant is an expandable panel found in Customize (not on your actual blog) with updated information regarding themes, mainly tutorials that you request, conveniently on your customize page.
Many of the UT themes will receive Theme Assist as it rolls out over the next 48 hours. However if you have edited the HTML of a UT theme, you have an older version or you just want it, copy and paste the following, replacing </head> and <body>:
<!-- Untitled Themes customize assistant -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.tumblr.com/jw8fmba/i5nm2b5p0/untitledthemes_assistant.js"></script>
